Pater noster... Our Father...

V. Protector noster aspice Deus.
R. Et respice in faciem Christi tui.
V. Behold, O God our protector.
R. And look upon the face of Thy Christ.
V. Memento nostri, Domine, in beneplacito tuo.
R. Visita nos in salutari tuo.
V. Remember us, O Lord, in Thy good pleasure,
R. Visit us with Thy salvation.
V. Ostende nobis, Domine, misericordiam tuam,
R. Et salutare tuum da nobis.
V. Show us, O Lord, Thy mercy,
R. And grant us Thy salvation.
V. Domine Deus virtutum, converte nos.
R. Ostende faciem tuam, et salvi erimus.
V. Lord God of hosts, restore us.
R. Show us Thy face, and we shall be saved.
V. Domine, exaudi orationem meam, R. Et clamor meus ad te veniat. V. O Lord, hear my prayer,
R. And let my cry come to Thee.
Oremus: Let us pray:
O God, who through the mouth of Christ, Thy Son, hast declared that Thou sowest the good seed and cultivate the choicest branches, which are found in all the children of Thy Church; grant to Thy faithful who are to Thee as a vineyard and a harvest-field, that having rooted out the filth of all thorns and briars, we may bring forth worthy fruit in abundance.
O God, who art power unchangeable and light eternal, look graciously upon the body of all Thy Church, and by Thy perpetual providence perform with tranquility the work of human salvation. So that the whole world may experience and see that which is fallen is raised up, that which was old is made new, and that all things are made whole again through Him from whom they received their beginning.
O God, Thou art the exaltation of the lowly and fortitude of the righteous. Thou, who through Thine only-begotten Son so deigned to instruct the world such that every action of His was for our instruction, stir up in us the fervor of Thy spirit, that what He taught by word and example, we may be able to imitate.
O God, Thou who makest the faithful to be of one mind and will, grant that we may love what Thou dost command and desire what Thou dost promise; that amid the changing times of this world, our hearts may be set where there is true joy.
O God, from whom all good things come, grant to us Thy supplicants that by Thy inspiration we may think of what is right and under Thy guidance we may do the same. Though our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who with Thee liveth and reigneth in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
Amen. Amen.
V. Domine exaudi orationem meam.
R. Et clamor meus ad te veniat.
V. Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come to Thee.
V. Benedicamus Domino.
R. Deo gratias.
V. Let us bless the Lord.
R. Thanks be to God.
V. Et fidelium animae per misericordiam Dei requiescant in pace.
R. Amen.
V. And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
R. Amen.
